- The technical details can be found on the page of the movement on ETA’s website.
- Additional information is available on Worn & Wound’s page devoted to the movement.
- The Watchbase page gives examples of watches powered by the 7001.
The 7001 is a small hand-wound movement.
Its gear train is made of:
- an escape wheel with 15 teeth and its pinion with 10 leaves
- a fourth wheel with 120 teeth and its pinion with 14 leaves
- a third wheel with 112 teeth and its pinion with 16 leaves
- a centre wheel with 120 teeth
On the dial site, its hour wheel has 36 teeth and its minute wheel has 10 leaves.
At 3Hz, the escape wheel turns every 5 seconds (15 teeth/3Hz), the fourth wheel every 60 seconds (ratio of 12=120/10), the third wheel turns every 8 minutes (ratio of 8=112/14), and the centre wheel turns every 60 minutes (ratio of 7.5=120/16).
The movement disassembled below does not have a small seconds display.
