The most interesting part of this pocket watch is its cylinder escapement. As you will see, there is no lever and the escapement wheel is directly under the balance wheel. Unfortunately, the cylinder of this watch is partly broken, but you can still see how it is supposed to work and what it means for the layout of the wheels.
