Longines 12.68z

The Longines 12.68z was used in W.W.W. military watches during World War II. This movement in particular was used in Longines’ version of the Dirty Dozen field watches issued by the British Army.

The movement photographed in the daylight looking its best.
Dial side
Close up of the logo and the alpha hands
Dial removed exposing the keyless works
The full movement with its movement ring
All the bridges removed except for the balance cock, exposing the whole gear train
I find the shape and finishing of the bridges quite beautiful
An internal angle on a field watch would be unheard of today!
