The Poljot 2612 is a movement with an alarm function. It is almost a copy of the AS 1475.
The Poljot 2612 almost has two movements in one. The alarm function and the time function each have their own crown, keyless works, ratchet wheel and barrel and some version of a gear train.
On the dial side, there is an additional hand for the alarm function Each function (time and alarm) has its own crown, barrel, etc. Here, the alarm function is at the top. The central bridge holds the timing gear train. Above, one can see the ratchet wheel of the barrel for the alarm funciton. Focus on the alarm function, here the ratchet wheel. This is the stricking component of the alarm function. The caseback also serves as a gong as the stricking component hits the pin. The star wheel transmits the power from the alarm barrel to the stricking component. Underside of the star wheel Stricking component Underside of the stricking component The hold in the baseplate is below the stricking component and allows the setting mechanism to interact with the stricking mechanism Other side of the movement with the dial removed The wheel with the three square holes controls the alarm. When the time is right, the holes align with bumps on the hour wheel and the alarm wheel sinks a little, pressing on the large spring underneath that can be seen here around 10 o’clock. The latter will release the stricking mechanism through a hold in the base plate. The large spring going from 5 o’clock to 10 o’clock is used to release the stricking mechanism.
